Since racism is at the front of the national conversation right now, we’re asking our members and supporters to set up a Facebook Fundraiser. It’s a great way for you to help ACE.

Our goal is to have $5,000 raised by our fiscal year-end on June 30th, and to do that, we need 25 people to set up fundraisers. Right now, 19 people have set up fundraisers and we’re on the way to our monetary goal. But we need a few more before June 30th. Can you set yours up today? It will take you five or ten minutes, and our guide will walk you through how.

This is an unprecedented moment in our national conversation about race and racism. Lots of folks are finally seeing the deep roots of racism. And that’s a big opportunity to grow our movement.

This June, instead of our regular Jammin’ for Justice fundraising party, we’re asking our members and supporters to set up a Facebook fundraiser for ACE. It’ll take you just five or ten minutes (really), doesn’t cost you a thing, and it’s a huge opportunity for us to expand our community.

We’ve set a goal of raising $5,000 to support our environmental justice mission. That means at least 25 people setting up fundraisers. Will you join in? 

Usually, June would be our annual Jammin’ for Justice party. With so much grief and anger in the world right now, we need celebration and community more than ever. But the pandemic obviously means we can’t host a party this year. So my request is: think about what ACE means to you -- youth empowerment, transit justice, front-line climate action, or anything. What’s the reason that you would be excited to come to our fundraiser party in the past, other than the food and music?

That’s the reason to create a fundraiser.

Think about folks you know -- former classmates, coaches, aunts and uncles, teachers, coworkers. Facebook is a really easy way to ask them to support a cause you believe in, and folks are often grateful to be pointed toward a group with ACE’s history and experience.

Whether you’re new to ACE or a longtime supporter of Jammin’ for Justice, please consider setting up a Facebook Fundraiser this year. Get started now.

ACE has always been powered by our community -- people donating, showing up at rallies, making phone calls, helping out in the office or at events, telling their friends and family about us. We are grateful for every supporter, even if you’re not able to give or help fundraise right now.
